FAQ
A quick pass through setup, data ownership, local network access, and what the current beta does and does not include.
Yes. ElluMed CRM is local-first and stores clinic records in a SQLite database on the clinic computer, so reception and doctor workflows can continue offline.
Yes, the desktop app can expose local web access on the clinic LAN. The main clinic computer acts as the server, and nearby devices can connect through the local IP address when the firewall allows it.
Patient records, queue entries, consultations, prescriptions, audit logs, and backups stay on the local clinic machine. The EllumeShop website does not receive patient data from installed copies of ElluMed CRM.
Yes. Current releases include a 30-day trial gate so clinics can test the workflow with sample data before deciding whether to keep using it in daily operations.
The current beta builds are not code-signed yet. Windows can warn about unsigned apps even when they come from the official GitHub release link. Code signing is planned before broader production rollout.
Yes. Admin users can create staff accounts and assign the Doctor role. Those doctor accounts appear in queue and appointment assignment lists.
Not yet. V1 is focused on small clinics moving away from paper index cards, queue sheets, and scattered consultation notes. Billing, inventory, lab results, SMS reminders, cloud sync, and multi-branch support are not included in the current beta.
